Time travel to the past or the future

Imagen
If I had to choose between traveling to the past or to the future, I would definitely choose to travel to the past. I think I would travel to the past because  I wouldn't be a fan of the uncertainty of traveling to the future and not knowing what you’ll actually find there.  Instead, if I travel to the past in a specific time and place, I’d have a clearer and more general idea about what I am going to face.  Being in the past I would obviously not miss the opportunity to visit an important historical event. I’d probably go to the fall of the Berlin Wall. imagine being there! Or I really like David Bowie so I would go to one of his concerts. I mean, who would miss the chance to see The Starman live?  But beyond the more typical places and personal tastes, I’d obviously visit the most important cities to see the contrast between yesterday and today.  I would like to travel back to the 60's and see how much Santiago has changed, see the buildings, and read the ...

A job that i would like to have in the future is archaeologist

In 2021 I started as a student in the career of anthropology, not knowing that eventually in the same career I would have to choose a kind of "specialty". You have to choose whether to continue as an anthropologist or choose the mention of archaeology.  Before, when researching about the career, I had no idea about this, but once I started having my classes, I realized that, in fact, archaeology attracts me more attention than anthropology itself.  Archaeology is a field of study that has many specializations, so deciding which one i like the most is something I’m still working on, cause i like them all! I like that this discipline gives you the possibility of certain “mobility”, due to your work -in some ways - consists of traveling from one place to another, working in different archaeological sites every time.  I think what you need to be able to work as an archaeologist is obvious to be interested in some way in the history of the past, I also think that for this di...

The best holiday ever

In 2018, when i was about 16 years old, i went to Arica with family friends. We went during the period where the "Carnaval de Arica" was celebrated. It was the first time i traveled to the north of the country, and it was nothing like it was described to me before, maybe it was because of the carnival, but Arica is full of colors. And the beaches are amazing. The first days of the trip consisted of getting up early, swiming at the beach, eating amazing food and then in the afternoon go to the carnival. Full of dances, music and colors.  But in our lasts days we decided completely spontaneously to travel to Peru. We were very close to Tacna so we organized the papers that we needed and crossed the border. From Tacna we then went to Arequipa on a bus - a 6 hours trip-. to be honest that bus ride was a pretty bizarre experience, but as soon as we arrived during the night in Arequipa that whole trip was worth it. The city was beautiful, full of lights and with very nice people. W...

Country i would like to visit

Imagen
Hello, my name is Isidora and the country i would like to visit is Mexico. The reasons why i'd like to visit Mexico are the people, the culture, the gastronomy and of course the beautiful landscapes that México has. I consider Mexico a country with a wonderful culture and a history worth knowing. -And of course as extra points they have the best cinema in Latinoamerica. In my opinion-. Since i haven't been to Mexico, all i know about this country is through movies and stories. I know that Mexican people live their culture with pride every day, that they are very passionate and joyful. And they also have wonderful beaches.  I would like to go to Mexico to study, cause i consider that mexican anthropology and archaeology is one of the most important in Latinoamerica. And i feel that being able to go as a student would give me the possibility to get to know the country from another perspective than as a tourist.  I can't wait to finally get to know this country!
